Bromborough
Thursdays 7.30 - 10.30pm
The OC Club, Bridle Road, Bromborough, Wirral, CH62 6AR
Large free car park, fully licensed bar, sprung wooden dance floor.
A typical evening is arranged into two dance lessons with freestyle dancing in between. The first lesson of the evening is aimed at beginners and those who have been doing French Jive for six weeks or less. For those people who are more confident or who have been dancing longer, a second more difficult class is taught later on.
This is the longest running Dancenorthwest venue and is known for it’s friendly people and great dance crew. Dancers come from all DNW nights here. Steve the DJ plays here every week as well as at the big dance venues such as Stockport Town Hall on a regular basis and he brings all the latest sounds with him as well as your favourites, so ask him and he'll play your fave. Your Instructors are Gill and Tony who each bring style and fun into there classes. Tony gets the men wiggling whilst Gill teaches the ladies the sultry, flirty styling to their dancing.
As with all DNW dance nights there are fantastic dance crew who are on duty each night. They love their dancing and are dedicated to make sure your dancing progresses. They all wear distinctive tops, and are easy to spot. If you are a beginner, ask them for a dance and get lots of extra free help, encouragement and grow in your dance confidence.
So dancing finishes at 10.30. What next? Well you can always stay and sample the bar afterwards and have a chat as that is open till 11.
The OC won bar of the month in June from CAMRA and have some great real ales and 'proper' drinks for you.
For those who are keen to give their dancing a jump start we hold regular dance workshops at this and other venues.
If you're not sure how to find us, this map should help.
